Reasons for Introduction

Obsolete Reasons for Introduction

Packaged enterprise scale systems as an on-going area of significant interest to the IS professional community. This unit was introduced to provide an understanding of Enterprise Systems as elements of the IT infrastructure of large scale businesses and organisations. There will be an emphasis on the issues and problems of management and deployment of these packages. Although no software development in any package will be undertaken, some architectural and technical issues in implementation of these packages will be discussed. Considerations which are specific to the role of the systems analyst in selecting, tailoring and implementing ERP packages will be the focus of the unit.

Reasons for Change (15 Dec 2005, 1:29pm)

Addition of process modelling software tasks in practical sessions.
