Reasons for Introduction

Reasons for Introduction (03 Jul 2014, 12:14am)

This unit provides foundation studies for the Master of Business Information Systems (MBIS) beginning in 2014. The unit serves a similar role to FIT9006 within the previous version of the MBIS suite of degrees.

Reasons for Change (09 Mar 2021, 2:33pm)

17/7/13 Updated location of offering. Effective Semester 1 2014.

18/9/13 - Updated learning outcomes based on advice from Margot Schumacher.

22/1/2014 - Change to contact hours made to align with Handbook entry (bulk upload from CUPID extract). Approved by ADE.

20/6/2014 - Modified Unit Objectives to comply with AQF requirements. Effective Semester 2,2014.

7/07/2014 - Added FIT5123 as prohibition and Malaysia to location of offering.

20/01/2017 - Changed exam time to comply with the maximum 2-hour exam rule. Due to this change, I would like to extend the reading time to 30 minutes reading and noting time so that students would have sufficient time to read and complete their exams.

29/06/2018: Admin - amendment to Assessment removing the 30 minutes reading and noting time and reverting to the standard 10 minutes reading and noting time, as per FEC Email Meeting 1/18.

20/9/2019: Admin - updating exam duration to include additional 10 minutes as per University requirement.

10/10/2019 - The structure of this unit is modified in order to take advantages of the learning innovations spaces and practices available in the new Woodside TED building at Clayton.

17/09/2020 - Admin: Update to include new assessment and teaching approach fields as per Handbook requirements.

08/02/2021: Admin - Update Reasons for Change for CE - updated Assessment to reflect 2021 offering; updated CE which should replace existing Chief Examiner

02/03/2021 - CE changed workshop to tutorial to accurately reflect activities undertaken, and reference to off campus students not normally attending lectures and workshops removed.
