Reasons for Introduction

Obsolete Reasons for Introduction

In the first two semesters of the Masters by Coursework courses, students will have accumulated the knowledge and skills associated with various multimedia technologies. This subject is designed to consolidate this knowledge and skills by providing students with an overview of how these technologies work together in the context of a medium sized multimedia application and to teach students how to use the technologies effectively. It is, however, clear that successful multimedia system development depends not only on technology but also on project management. The subject will introduce students to the principles, methodology and techniques of project management of multimedia system development, in particular, the professional aspects of managing such projects. After completion of this subject students will be prepared to meet the challenge of multimedia system development in industry.
