Reasons for Introduction

Reasons for Introduction (04 Sep 2007, 3:48pm)

FIT2063 is intended to bring Bachelor of Business Information Systems graduates to a level of Visual Basic programming expertise acceptable to the IT environment in which they are likely to find their initial employment opportunities. The unit FIT1002 introduces students to the fundamentals of programming. Graduates of the Bachelor of Business Information Systems in their first IT role are often expected to produce Internet/intranet/extranet business applications in complex multi- tier, data rich environments. In FIT2063, fundamental programming knowledge gained in FIT1002 (or equivalent) is augmented with several advanced programming topics that will equip a graduate with the necessary programming knowledge and skills to produce such applications.
