CPE4001 Distributed Programming in Java [Distr Prog Java]

Reasons for Introduction

Obsolete Reasons for Introduction

The Master of Network Computing is designed, in part, to upgrade the qualifications of practising IT professionals who may have a first degree in computing, to the speciality in the network computing area. This master's course aims to produce graduates who will be competent in tackling problems involving LAN/WAN networking, distributed applications development, and in general terms, network computing problems. Graduates of this course need to possess the required programming skills in building such distributed applications, moreover, these skills need to be relevant to their professional practice. The Java programming environment is widely regarded as the new standard for distributed applications development both in commercial and academic areas. For students who have previous Java programming experiences, this subject provides them a more advanced treatment of distributed technologies. The subject is a level 4 subject, designed for students with a background in Java programming
